Pricing for Services
To provide the quality of health care you deserve, I utilize a self-pay model for PT services. Why?
PT practices utilizing insurance have to serve both you and the insurer. As a result, the structure of physical therapy sessions is more and more dictated by the insurance provider.
That's not okay with me.
With self-pay for PT services, we can address what is most important to you each session. Together, we make the decisions regarding the structure and content of your care.
Each physical therapy session is tailored to really address your body's needs. This means having significantly more time for therapeutic processes that allow our nervous and musculoskeletal systems to reset and restore healthy functioning.
To accomplish this, I charge $160 for an hour session. Whether it's your first appointment or a follow up, all visits costs are the same. All aspects of therapy are included in this fee, including needling and any materials I provide for home exercises.
When you realize how much you are carrying in your body and start to get relief, you will really appreciate the ways in which this therapy can be transformative for you.
Let's see what we can accomplish together.

So why choose self-pay when you have insurance?
When you choose to go to clinics that rely on insurance for reimbursement, you will often experience:
-
Shorter total treatment time
-
One therapist treating 2-3 patients at once
-
Treatment plans designed around billing codes
-
Limits on visit numbers and frequency
-
A PT focusing on aspects of care tied to reimbursement regardless of your personal desires and goals
When you chose self-pay physical therapy, you’re not just paying for time; you’re paying for attention, expertise, and intentionality.
That includes:
-
A comprehensive evaluation that looks not only at the injured body part but at the whole body
-
A PT that is really present with you and providing care directly tied to your personal goals
-
More time and attention with bodywork (manual therapy and therapeutic needling) as part of your treatment
-
Education so you can understand your body and your physical experiences
-
Highly personalized assigned exercises to support further benefits from therapy sessions
Are the cost-savings utilizing insurance really even worth it?
-
Depending on your deductible, even within clinics that accept your insurance, you make be paying more out of pocket for services. Why? Those same PT services are billed for way more than what I charge. When you go through insurance, it will be you that pays upfront costs until you meet your deductible and co-insurance kicks in.

As a result, it's often unclear whether you actually save money in both the short and long-term regardless of the care differences.
